Our drivers

Licensed professionals who know the roads they drive.

In short

TunisiaRide drivers hold the licences required for passenger transport in Tunisia. They speak English, French and Arabic, know their routes first-hand, and are identified to you by name before the day of travel.

What TunisiaRide checks

Valid driving licence and passenger transport authorisation issued by the Tunisian authorities. That is the entry condition, and it is not negotiable.

Verified experience on the routes assigned: a driver put on southern circuits has already driven those tracks, he is not discovering them with you on board.

Language level assessed in conversation. A driver listed as English-speaking must be able to hold a conversation, not just say hello.

Presentation and vehicle: checked before every shift — interior and exterior cleanliness, working air conditioning, water on board.

Frequently asked questions

Do the drivers speak English?

All drivers speak French and Arabic. English is spoken by part of the team: state the requirement at booking and an English-speaking driver will be assigned. Italian and German are available on request, subject to availability.

Will I know my driver's name in advance?

Yes. The day before your transfer, TunisiaRide sends you the driver's name, phone number and the vehicle registration by WhatsApp and email.

Can the driver act as a guide?

He gladly shares his knowledge of the places, but he is not a licensed guide. For a commentated visit of archaeological sites, TunisiaRide can arrange a licensed guide — request it at booking.
