The four options, compared honestly
The hotel shuttle is often included in your package. It costs less, but waits until the vehicle fills, then drops at several hotels: allow 45 to 90 extra minutes, on a schedule you do not control.

Frequently asked questions
Is a private transfer much more expensive than a taxi?
The gap is smaller than expected over long distances, where a taxi negotiates a flat fare anyway. On short runs a taxi stays cheaper; it is on airport transfers over 40 km that a private transfer becomes competitive.
Should I rent a car to see Tunisia?
For a stay over ten days with a lot of free movement, renting can make sense. For a week with three or four excursions, a driver by the day often works out cheaper once fuel, insurance and parking are counted.
Why book ahead rather than on arrival?
Booking ahead fixes the price, guarantees a vehicle matched to your group and luggage, and lets a driver be assigned who tracks your flight. On arrival, you negotiate with whatever is left, often after a night flight.
